In the virtual reality world, the movement mechanism is a problem that we need to explore tirelessly. Xiao Bian is also keeping an eye on the latest movement mechanism. In response to the existing movement mechanism, user Dr_Jerm initiated a survey and surveyed 507 virtual reality developers/users.
According to the survey results, 73.8% of the respondents expressed their preference for the "transmission" (including "rush") movement mechanism, and the remaining 26.2% said they did not like this movement mechanism. In motion sickness, 43% of respondents said that they occasionally suffer from motion sickness, 15.1% said they are prone to motion sickness, and 41.8% said that they are basically not sick (unless it is really bad).
The detailed report is as follows:
1. Whether to like the movement mechanism of "transmitting" (including "progressive").
Above: Target all respondents
2, motion sickness resistance
Above: Target all respondents
3, the physical movement mechanism of interest
Above: Target all respondents
4. Whether people who are prone to motion sickness like to "move" (including "progress") the movement mechanism.
Above: Respondents who are prone to motion sickness
5, the physical movement mechanism that people who are prone to motion sickness are interested in.
Above: Respondents who are prone to motion sickness
6. Does the person who occasionally suffers from motion sickness like the movement mechanism of "transmitting" (including "rushing in")?
Above: Respondents with occasional motion sickness
7. Physic movement mechanisms that are of interest to people who occasionally suffer from motion sickness.
Above: Respondents with occasional motion sickness
8. Whether people who do not suffer from motion sickness like to "transmit" (including "progress") the movement mechanism.
Above: Respondents who do not suffer from motion sickness
9. Physical movement mechanisms that are not of interest to people with motion sickness.
Above: Respondents who do not suffer from motion sickness
I believe this report is very useful for developers.
