Toshiba will release ceiling-mounted LED spotlights (photo)



Toshiba Leading (Address: Tokyo Shinagawa) is about to release the ceiling-mounted LED spotlight [E-CORE60]. The new products include "under-the-house use type", "square light distribution type", and "insulation operation type". 3 types. The new products will be available for sale on February 15, 2008. The brightness of the luminaire is comparable to that of a 60W incandescent lamp, and the retail price is expected to be 2.38~31,000 yen.

E-CORE is a series of high-efficiency LED spotlights that save energy and longevity. [E-CORE60], which is equivalent to the brightness of 60W incandescent lamps, is the first in the industry to meet the Kyoto Protocol's planned standard. It consumes 1/7 of the incandescent light of the same brightness and 40,000 hours of life. The emissions are reduced by about 85%.

The embedding cavity diameter of the product is 100mm standard, and the replacement is convenient. The sales target for the first year of sale is 50,000 sets.
