In the body shop of the Beijing Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd. Yangzhen Plant (the third factory), 290 robots replaced the manpower and completed a body welding in about 50 seconds, achieving an automation rate of 100%. The whole process was free of welding spatter.

Director Du Junbao introduced that there are 360 ​​robots in the entire Yangzhen factory, which are distributed in the workshops of body and painting. “One robot can work for two people.”

Introducing a "zero defect" system

Du Junbao introduced that the Yangzhen factory was the first to apply the system in China. Previously, the entire production line was process control, that is, every process had inspectors who used equipment for human inspection. “In this process, shape, size, etc. are more or less affected by human factors, which will affect quality.”

After the introduction of the “Quality End System”, Du Junbao said that the system has a data center that transmits various measurement data to the control center through a mobile phone-sized device. Once the control center finds a problem, the car on the production line stops immediately. When the problem is solved, the production line equipment will drive the car forward. Du Junbao said that this is to ensure zero defects.
