As a measuring tool, the multimeter can measure voltage, resistance, current, electrical circuits, various electronic components and so on. How to use the multimeter correctly?
1. The multimeter should be used with caution and should not be subject to vibration, heat and moisture.
2. The pointer should be adjusted to the mechanical zero before use. When measuring the resistance, turn the transfer switch to the resistance file. After the two measuring rods are in contact, rotate the zero adjustment device so that the pointer can be measured in zero-ohm range. Do not measure the voltage on the resistance position. Otherwise, the meter will burn out.
3. The red bar is "+" and the black bar is "-". When measuring DC voltage or current, connect the red and black bars to the positive and negative terminals of the measured object. Otherwise, the instrument will be burned out due to the reverse.
4. When using the range, the highest range should be selected first, and the pointer should be moved to the vicinity of 2/3 of the full scale, so that the reading can be more accurate. Before measuring the DC voltage (especially high voltage), you must first understand the positive and negative electrodes. If you do not know the positive and negative poles, you can quickly connect the two rods quickly. If the pointer turns clockwise, it means that the pair is connected. Otherwise, the rod should be exchanged.
5. When the transfer switch is turned to the position where the current is measured, it is absolutely impossible to connect the two bars directly to the power supply. Otherwise, the multimeter will be burned by the short circuit current.
6. After the measurement is completed, the transfer switch should be turned to the voltage level to prevent the switch from being on the resistance file. The two test rods are short-circuited by other metals to make the battery in the watch run out.
