At present, most of the car lights commonly used by the public do not have automatic brightness adjustment and switching functions, so this paper proposes a car light source system that combines a light source adjustment mechanism and an automatic control concept.
This system is composed of several single chips to form a distributed control system. The control chip separately detects the driving safety distance and automatically adjusts the driving light source projection, and detects the brightness value of the ambient light source by the brightness sensor. When the surrounding brightness is sufficient, the control system will adjust the motor to make the LED light source to the lens focus to form a high-brightness projection; when the surrounding brightness is insufficient, the motor reverse adjustment makes the distance between the LED light source and the lens narrow and project The LED beam angle has a wide projection area, which effectively allows drivers using traffic vehicles at night to quickly master the road conditions. In addition, there is a distance detector behind the system, which can remind the driver of the distance behind the car to improve driving safety at night.

Brief introduction of car light source system

This paper proposes a decentralized control system, each chip only produces the corresponding result of the input signal (Figure 1), in order to reduce the calculation time. This system uses a brightness sensor, speed sensor, and distance sensor, respectively. This system can follow the movement of the vehicle and the change of the ambient light brightness. The angle of the near and far lights can be accurately changed by the servo motor to achieve automatic multi-segment angle adjustment of the tilt angle of the light source of the car and the motor to drive the screw to adjust the distance between the lens and the LED , Change the angle of the light beam projected by the LED to achieve the brightness adjustment of automatically switching the near and far lights and illumination.

Main control system design
This system uses several Holtek HT66F50 control chips (Figure 2) with self-designed hardware circuits. Each group of hardware circuits has its own functions to reduce the system's distributed computing time. The control chip will be connected to the output status of each sensing module, converted into a digital signal, and then compared, timed, counted and other functions to calculate the changes in vehicle travel and make the corresponding safety warning function.
