Considering the use effect and service life of refrigerators, in general, the thickness of the refrigerator's frost layer should not exceed 5mm, because exceeding this thickness, the frost layer will have a large thermal resistance, affecting the efficiency of the heat exchange of the refrigerator, and thus causing the refrigerator cooling capacity. The defrosting method of the refrigerator is generally after the power is turned off, use a scraper planer cream, or take a relatively soft hot towel repeatedly wipe. Because most of the refrigerators now have automatic defrosting, the freezer will not have too much ice, just use a hot towel to “heat up” and thin ice will melt.

However, some old-fashioned refrigerators do not have the automatic defrosting function. At this time, the plastic film can be put to great use. We can allow plastic film to intervene in advance, that is, after using the refrigerator for the first time or after defrosting for the first time, wait for the refrigerator to run for a period of time, stick a layer of plastic film or thin plastic cloth in the place where it is easy to freeze, and then gently defrost the next time. Tear, the frost layer goes along with the plastic film. It should be noted that during the cleaning of the frost layer, the accumulated water at the freezer interior walls, drawer partitions, etc. must be cleaned.
