555 temperature frequency conversion circuit
The 555 temperature frequency conversion circuit is shown in the figure. IC1 is a dual time base circuit 556, wherein the left half and R3, VT1, C1, etc. constitute a temperature frequency conversion multivibrator. VT1 uses PNP triode as temperature sensor. When the temperature changes from 0°C to 100°C, the oscillation frequency varies from 3.4kHz to 5kHz due to the change of internal resistance of the tube with temperature. The linear error is less than plus or minus 0.5. °C. The output of IC1 is shaped by an IC2 monostable flip-flop to obtain a rectangular wave with a constant pulse width.
