TCL Group Li Dongsheng plans to sell 40 million shares to pay off the loan

Recently, TCL Group (000100.SZ) announced that the chairman of the group, Li Dongsheng, will reduce the shares of the group. Li Dongsheng said that the move was to pay off the compensation for the non-public offering of shares of TCL Group in 2010. The loan of about RMB 100 million is expected to reduce the shareholding by no more than 40 million shares in the next three months.

Li Dongsheng currently holds a total of 46,583,360 shares of TCL Group, accounting for 5.5% of the total share capital. Among them, the unrestricted shares were 1,164,484,400 shares.

It is understood that TCL Group issued a non-public offering of 1.3 billion shares in July 2010, raising a total of 4.5 billion yuan. Li Dongsheng subscribed for 72.254 million shares for 250 million yuan. The subscription of shares has nearly doubled the book income and completed. For the distribution plan of 10 shares for every 10 shares, the above-mentioned shares have also become 144.5888 million shares. However, since this part of the shares is sold for 36 months, it is still not available for sale. Li Dongsheng intends to sell part of his previous shareholding.

In addition, in March of this year, Philips sold its 3.84% stake in TCL Group through PHILIPS ELECTRONICS CHINA BV.

It is worth noting that although the TCL Group's 2010 results were lower than expected, the net profit in the first quarter of this year increased by nearly 2.5 times. According to industry analysis, the price competition pattern of domestic color TV market continued to improve. The proportion of LED sales continued to increase, and the profitability of color TV domestic sales business improved. It is expected that the profitability of TCL's color TV business in the second quarter will continue to rise.
