2. Overview of “beautifying the antenna”

The so-called "beautification antenna" can also be called "camouflage antenna", that is, under the premise of satisfying the essential function of the antenna, the electrical performance of the antenna is optimized according to various means, and the external appearance is camouflaged and modified to shape the appearance. Fusion is the starting point for design. Thereby beautifying the urban visual environment, reducing the residents' resistance to the wireless electromagnetic environment, greatly facilitating the construction of the site and ensuring the quality of the wireless communication network.

Three beautification measures commonly used to beautify antennas:

1. Dress up the antenna. The surface of the conventional plate antenna is sprayed with the same color as the environment, or the artificial plant and the green leaf are used to wrap the antenna, and the far-sighted effect is landscaping. This method has low cost and short processing cycle.

2, add a cover to beautify the antenna. In order to cope with the diversified requirements of the owner's beautification method, a beautification cover is added in addition to the plate antenna, and the outer cover shape is flexibly designed. This method is simple to operate, and the beautification effect is better, but the electrical performance is slightly worse.

3. Integrated landscaping antenna. Directly design the antenna into a special shape, change the traditional appearance of the antenna, and even design the shape of the object that is common in the environment to achieve the purpose of beautification. This method has better beautification effect, convenient product selection, stable electrical performance, and mass production, but the development cycle is longer. The integrated design idea will become the industry trend in the later period.

3. Beautify the environmental contribution of the antenna

The urban population is highly dense, with a large amount of traffic and concentration. Take Humen Town, Dongguan City, a coastal city as an example. The registered population is 120,000, while the migrant population is 500,000, and it is relatively concentrated in some industrial parks. According to incomplete statistics, the local population density reaches 3,680 people per square kilometer or more. The traffic volume is extremely large. In order to cope with the communication coverage, the original cellular structure must be further split, and the number of corresponding base stations must be increased, thereby improving the frequency reuse efficiency and accessing more users. Four. Two-dimensional electric adjustment technology application

In life, the layout of the building floor is complex, and the actual environment varies. In order to meet the full coverage and seamless coverage, in practical engineering applications, the antenna can usually be adjusted horizontally and vertically downwardly. The conventional plate-shaped ESC antenna can only realize the continuous electronic adjustment of the vertical plane beam. The horizontal beam beam pointing adjustment is realized by the artificial machine alone. In the case of a high-rise building or a tower, the adjustment is greatly inconvenient, and the manual adjustment of the mechanical time-consuming and laborious, the adjustment precision Poor, beam pointing error directly leads to a decline in network coverage quality. Five. Large downtilt technology application

As the pace of urban construction accelerates, more and more high-rise buildings add a modern touch to the city. However, base station antennas are often placed on the roof of the building. It is extremely difficult to select a suitable height site in a city with high-rise buildings. At the same time, it brings a series of problems to engineering construction, property coordination, antenna maintenance, etc., and becomes a network optimization construction. difficulty.

If the antenna is laid out on a higher floor, in order to satisfy the coverage, the antenna beam is usually tilted down. Currently, there are three implementations of the antenna beam downtilt in the industry: mechanical downtilt, preset electrical downtilt, and electrical downtilt adjustment. The large mechanical downtilt adjustment is easy to cause waveform distortion, and the beautification antenna is a reasonable control volume, and the mechanical downtilt adjustment function is not available. Therefore, the ESC downtilt adjustment with better performance is the second choice. In general, the antenna downtilt setting can be calculated by the following formula:

Take the GSM900M 15dBi 65° ESC antenna as an example. The height of the antenna is 80m, and the beam width of the vertical plane of the antenna is 14°. It can be known from the above formula that if the main lobe is to cover a distance of about 250m, the electric downtilt angle should reach 18°. This is similar to the antenna frame height of 35m and the downtilt angle of 8°.
