PhilipsLighting unveiled its breakthrough, state-of-the-art SSL lighting solution at the 2009 New York International Lighting Show: an A-shapeLED bulb with a luminous flux of up to 600 lm, and a record that can eventually be used to replace the US market as an ordinary 40W incandescent bulbs for lighting applications and 60W incandescent bulb technology for the European market (230V). The "new generation" A-shapeSSL prototype prototype bulb developed by PhilipsLighting is characterized by high efficiency, energy efficiency, and a fully dimmable range as low as 10, with a high performance package including light output, efficacy, color and dimming.
