Many industry insiders report that although the current market demand for LED filament lamps is large, it is mainly based on foreign markets and is concentrated in North America, Europe and South America.
The US market has not yet fully opened, mainly because the UL certification of LED filament lamps has not yet passed. The main reason why the domestic market has not really spread is that the price has not yet been done. The acceptance of LED filament lamps by domestic consumers is not high. At present, the filament is generally around 3 yuan per piece, and the ex-factory price of the 4W finished lamp is more than 20 yuan. Because LED filaments have certain technical barriers, they will soon be broken. After three or four months, the filament will drop to a very low price. Yapuer's filament is 0.77W (105lm) each. It uses 28 chips and now sells 3 yuan. After 3 or 4 months, it will be 1 yuan. After about three to six months, the price of the filament lamp under the same illumination will be the same as that of the energy-saving lamp.
There are two major development directions for LED filament lamps in the future. One is to replace the market for incandescent lamps. In terms of replacing incandescent lamps, according to American standards, it mainly replaces 40W, 65W, 75W, 100W incandescent lamps. At present, we are already producing 40W and 65W incandescent filament lamps, which are to be replaced by 75W and 100W. After product development and mass production, the demand will be very large. The second is to develop in the direction of high lumens and high power, and the power can be 20W, 25W, 30W, 35W or even 50W. "Yellow light can replace small wattage high-pressure sodium lamps, white light can replace ceramic metal halide lamps below 150W (because it is solid lighting, color temperature is very stable), and replace 55W-100W energy-saving lamps.
Perhaps it is because of the infinite prospect of LED filament lamps, and some LED packaging manufacturers are also unable to hold back and start to act. A general manager of a packaging company that does not want to be named said that we are also planning to produce LED filament lamps, but they are mainly positioned in the domestic market because they are easy to concentrate and are close to the water.
