Japan’s first trial won the case, and Yiguang’s dissatisfaction will appeal
On October 16, 2007, Banqiao District Court of Taiwan in China sued Nichia for its Everlight products (including three LED products, the production models are 99-215 UWC/TR8, 99-115 respectively). UWC/XXX/TR8 and 99-115 UTC/710/TR8) infringed on its new style patent case B (patent certificate No. 089036), and sentenced Yiguang Electronics to lose the first trial. Yiguang and its legal representative will jointly pay 80 million to Nichia. New Taiwan dollar ($2.5 million) damages. On April 25, 2006, Nichia sued Yiguang's three LED products for infringing its patents and seeking compensation. Now it has finally obtained a favorable crop.
