Type selection:

Under normal circumstances, two-phase thermal relays can be used. However, when the three-phase voltage is poorly balanced and the working environment is poor or unattended, a three-phase thermal relay should be used. For delta-connected motors, thermal relays with phase failure protection should be used.

1, thermal relay rated current selection:

The rated current of the thermal relay should be greater than the rated motor current. Then select the thermal relay model based on the rated current.

2. Selection and setting of rated current of thermal element:

The rated current of the thermal element should be slightly larger than the rated current of the motor. When the starting current of the motor is 6 times of its rated current and the starting time does not exceed 5S, the setting current of the thermoless part is adjusted to be equal to the rated current of the motor; when the motor starts for a long time, the impact load is dragged or the parking is not allowed. When the thermal element setting current is adjusted to 1.1-1.15 times the rated current of the motor.
